Workshop on simulation based design for electric war ships
Organized by the ESRDC and Sponsored by ONR 334
February 14-15, 2006
Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida
The Electric Ship R&D Consortium was pleased to offer this fast-paced two-day workshop that revealed the great breadth and depth of modeling and simulation related research that is underway within the academic community.
Speakers were drawn from members of the Electric Ship R&D Consortium and from other universities that participate in ONR-funded research on electric ship systems. A well-balanced portfolio of presentations covered topics ranging from simulation methods to hard applications.
The workshop focused on two purposes to share among ourselves and with industry the significant body of work that has been produced, and to help develop a vision for the future of modeling and simulation and how it can be applied to speed the realization of electric ships.
The Consortium encouraged participation by our industrial colleagues in order that they can help the consortium to achieve these two purposes, which will ultimately help industry to achieve their own objectives. We thank all that attended.
