Consortium Thrusts

The proposed program has five major thrusts:

• Computational tools for early-stage ship design
  
  
• Ship electric power system
  
  
• Total ship system solution to thermal management
  
  
• Load management
  
  
• Next Generation Integrated Power System (NGIPS)
  
  

Through these thrusts, the ESRDC expects to significantly expand the science and technology base needed by the Navy and industry to successfully build the necessary functionality, increased efficiency and reliability, and cost effectiveness into the AES.
